is doing the harness and relays difficult?
how much for something like that?
I recently did a headlight swap where the lenses are like the ones in the lightnings and put some silverstars in there. trying to get everything out of them.

sorry for the hi-jack just curious.
A harness with the relays typically runs between $45 - $70, depending on the quality and application. You just unplug your stock headlights, route the harness the way you want, plug it into the headlights, plug the old headlight plug onto the harness (no splicing), and connect the harness to a good ground or the negative battery terminal. You connect the hot lead to the positive terminal. Then you mount the relays somewhere secure, mine I just zip tied to a hole in the fender.
For the record, Silverstars are a downgrade from even stock headlights. They are a fairly ordinary halogen bulb that alters its output color by filtering out some of the red and yellow light. Whenever you filter out light, the result is less light. But because the eyes are deceived by the color of the light, the initial impression is that they are brighter. You can do an experiment with an ordinary flashlight. You just put a slightly tinted blue film over the lens, and it will look brighter than it did without the film.
The best bulbs you can get at the +50s sold by various brands. Often these bulbs are not found in stores. They can be found from various online sources. They work by using th latest technology in filament design and better gas blends to maximum the light output and to improve the color spectrum.
Sounds easy enough. I found out about the silverstars afterwards, didn't do my research yet again but I like the whiter light and they were a step up from what I had, stock headlights with headlight shades.
Have to look into the wiring harness and relay, do you recommend anything? are these sold as one kit?
