Bet if you do a little checking those old bikes go for a lot now and that looks real good and orignial.Might be worth more than you think, that was the same company that also built motorcycles back in the day.
I used to be friends with several garbage men and several years ago when they would actually come get your cans and dump 'em by hand, they tell me you would not believe the things they found in the trash. Couples would get in a big fight and the wife would throw out the guy's power tools without him knowing or he would throw out her jewelry. A guy would throw out a perfectly good TV cause he was drunk and a **** broke. Or an expensive doll or toy because a little replaceable piece was missing. Some of these garbage men made decent side money fixing and reselling this stuff. Now garbage collection is done by a robot arm while the driver sits in the cab on his cell phone.
Man you lucky dog nice find I have a ton of bikes I have been fixing up and trying to sell on CL and wish I could find something like that for myself.I saved a 1950s Royce Union from a buddys kid and have been trying to strip the 50 years worth of paint off it as I am going to do a modern build to it because most of the orig parts were gone but the frame is sweet getting it painted to match my bronco, that front fork on your bike is what I am looking for and even a repo is selling for over a $100.00 on fleabay.
The best thing to do with what you have is do a light cleaning and don't use steelwool get some brasswool you don't want to scratch the chrome and don't paint it leave it to a pro who restores them its worth more even with bad paint, the next thing to do is ride that sucker its cool
