ATS Housing install?

How bad is the ATS Housing install? I found tons of stuff on search on why the ATS is good for eliminating surge and flutter, but not much on the installation! Just remove clamps and bolt in or ??? This isn't my next mod.....I've got a few small things to do now, but it's in the future for sure! Thanks

It seem,s pretty strait foward. Just take off the stock housing and put the ATS on and bolt everything back up, and use some locktite on the turbo bolts.. You'll spend the most time taking everything off around it to get in there to the turbo. Unhooking the wastegate, get some extra clips, everybody say,s theya goa flyin.

just like BPP said it's pretty straight forward, just rember when pulling the old housing to keep the 2 O riings off the old housing, and re-use them with the new housing. Also if you do a search on here you can find the Nappa part number for a different type of clip to use on the wastegate that makes it a lot simpler to install VS the old clips

I would just pull the turbo then install it. Pretty straight forward. Then you don't have to screw around with any of those clips!!

It's a much easier swap if you yank the turbo out. Pretty straight forward once the turbo is out too.

Hardest part is getting a 1/4" 12 point 8 MM thin wall socket and ditto ratching wrench.

5x 8mm bolts, small wobbly and extension on the bottom ones. 3/8"ish socket for the two nuts holding the wastegate canister to it (or just remove the "jesus" clip and remove it with it attached) Pretty easy. But if it were me, i would take the turbo off, it takes me less than 20 minutes to get mine out, tried again today, LOL.

Did mine on, wasn't difficult at all. One tough bolt to get to. I would never think to take the turbo off for this mod.
