57 headlight bezel

I'm missing one of my headlight bezels for my 57, the little chrome piece of trim that screws on to the grille and covers the gap between the headlight and the rest of the truck. Any idea where I might find one? I don't plan on keeping them chrome if that helps, one remaining one has been painted over and i'm not planning on having much, if any, chrome on the outside of the truck anyway. I briefly looked at LMC trucks and i didn't come up with anything, but i'm still waiting on my catalog so I was just looking online.

Thanks in advance!

I did some searching around and LMC truck parts calls the part i need a "headlight door ring" i believe. They carry it for 53 to 55, but not my 57... Anyone with a 53 - 55 able to give me the dimensions of their ring? I can't seem to find anyone who sells them for the 57.

I don't believe you're going to find a source for any reproduction headlight doors for the 57-60 trucks. Each year, from 57 to 60, has a different design,I believe, and you'll need to find a decent used one.Perhaps the Colonel can help you.Steve.

that's sort of what i was fearing. It sucks because there was only one there when I got the truck. Chrome isn't a big issue as they'll be painted over any way, and frankly I'd take someone's used dented pos one just to have a second one to work with.

I'll be sure to post an update when i figure out something. It's one of those little things that is deceptively hard to track down lol.

I was just looking through one of my parts catalogs and i noticed that the part number for replacement headlights from 48 to 55 and 56 to 57 were almost the same, just different last digits, i believe because the one for earlier trucks is a 6 volt unit. Then i noticed that the retaining ring is the same for 48 to 57 headlights, which leads me to believe that the lights, and thus the opening in the grill, might be about the same size. I might have to order one of the headlight doors for 53 to 55 and see if i can't make that one work some how. It would be nice to have some dimensions of that part first though.

All good things come to them that wait...and check EBAY daily. Not sure about the 57'-they are a 2 headlight system vs. my 59's 4 headlight system, but they regularly appear there ,say at least every other week. That is,except when you're LOOKING for a set.Again, contact Flashy, that is ,Col. Flashman, maybe he can hook you up.

Thanks! I'll start watching ebay again for a set. I've certainly got plenty of stuff to do before getting the second one becomes a huge priority, but i figured there's no harm in getting an early start.

Hi, You seem to know quite a lot about the 57's. Do you know will headlight rings & eyebrow from a 1957 F-600 fit my 57 F-100? Someone of FB Market parting out an F-550/F-600 & I've been looking for a set for quite a while - would prefer chrome, but I assume I can get them chromed when I'm doing body work/paint. Previous owner took them off to get re-chromed & lost them. Thanks, John

If I can find them, how much should I expect to pay for a pair of 57 headlight eyebrows/bezels? For driver quality with some dings are they around $100 a pair or like $300 or more? Is it worth it to look for higher quality chrome that doesn't need anything, or will those be hundreds more? It's hard to swallow when someone says $350 for a pair of rough ones when I see other years reproductions for 1/10th of that.
I appreciate any insight - I'm new to the 57 Fords, mostly had old Jeeps before & parts were plentiful & interchangeable. Thanks, John
