I found a 59 in a savage yard but I forgot to look at the headlight rings to see if they would fit my 58 grill

 

If you are talking about the chrome or painted trim piece that surrounds the headlight and attaches to the grill the answer is no-58 uses 3 screws 59 only one . If you are talking about the rings to hold the lenses in the buckets the answer is yes.

Which part are you calling a headlight ring? The retainer for the seal beam or the headlamp door?

The retainers are the same 1958/60, 1958 headlamp doors are different than 1959.
