How to value a solid 79 short bed box
Looking at box 6' that has some panels replaced but is in great refurbished shape! no holes in floor no major panel replacement, one little spot of surface rust, all trim in place, bed liner, tailgate included,some dents in tail gate, The bed I have now will need alot of work! Floor rotted out, sides solid, no tail gate,cross supports under bed need at least one, alot of surface rust, front of inner bed behind cab is rotted out. I am trying to do the math on this one but need help. To rebuild the one I have will cost many $ to repair how much I dont know. any one wished they would have just found a solid box instead of rebuilding? I am not looking to make a show truck just a solid truck. in fact I have no need for the trim mine dosen't have any.

I see 8ft beds go for 300 and up depending on condition. Found a nice one here 500 myself in the classifieds. Try a sponsor MikesTrucks and see what he would sale one for bet 400 to 800. I would just replace if it were me

Being that is has had panels replaced, I isn't as valuable as a original rust free bed. Hard to put a value on it, though since it really depends on the location. Shortbeds in good shape are hard to find. If yours is in bad shape, it will cost a bunch of $$$ Unless you can do ALL the work yourself.
