Anyone had a body media blasted?

Well I got the first estimate of 1500.00 WOW and that was to fit it in and do it a peice at a time. I called around and have a call in to a soda blasting place in houston we will see if my heart can take another "good deal"
The pressure washer idea is looking pretty good at this point.

this was my second go round, on the $1100.. media blasted the body panels, with a little sand blast on the rust. sand blast on the chassis.
the first time, I found someone for $450 to do the whole body, cab, fenders, doors, hood. what they said and what they did are two different things. they were blasted all right.. , and primed.. every panel was destroyed. (the contract left me holding the bag)..
had to replace the doors and hood (I blasted the new doors myself, had someone else media blast the hood). still have the damaged ones 3 years later
Hood alone was $400 for the hood, $375 media blast .. had to prime myself..
doors were $75 each.
the cab roof and back have cost me a small fortune to fix at the body-shop too.. lots of shrinking and bondo work to recover them.. the body guy described the cab roof as a duck swimming pool.. you can see some of the repairs in my gallery..
so.. cheap isn't really the best way all the time..
the second set from the other blaster look great.. nothing warped, and the contract made them responsible for damage..
