Exclamation Need some advice?

Ok im at my shop and just took the juice with attitude of my truck so I can get the dp. Now I had to take the egt probe out. But I dont have a fine thread bolt to plug the hole until the dp gets here in a couple days. So I need to go to town wich is about 8 miles away. Is that gonna hurt anything driving my truck just to town to get a bolt with the whole in my manifold??

Probably not. You might lose some boost but I don't think 16 miles is the end of the world

I doubt if it will hurt anything at all. I figured I'd post my school of hard knocks opinion just in case you're in a hurry.

Why not just reinsert the probe until you get a plug?

The probes I got were 1/8" pipe thread, not the same as a bolt thread. I have also seen a couple that were 1/4" pipe thread. Use a brass plug if you plan on getting it out easy down the road.

It shouldn't hurt anything, it will just make a weird sound. I had to drive mine like that to home depot once to get the correct tap since I didn't have it at home and it did fine.
