I have a 6spd and was wondering if anybody else was having a problem with the truck being real jumpy in 3rd & 4th around 2000 RPM when you are about 1/4 throttle??
It feels like it is not getting fuel for a split second then back on then off etc. It makes the truck lunge back and forth. It does it real bad when I am towing a big load.

Any Advise or anybody else had this issue??
Its operator error! Now, before you start, it actually is! There is a reflash that corrects this issue. It starts mostly after you change gears. The slight bump that occurs when you let the clutch out starts it. The weight of the trailer, the clearance between the ball, and the hitch, the deflection of the mounting point of the ball, all contribute. When you have any "surge" it is compounded by the driver foot on the pedal. The seat makes your body move back and forth, causing your foot to do the same on the pedal. The reflash lessens the sensitivity of the "fly by wire" pedal assembly.
Yes I have talked to the dealer and techs about it but hard to duplicate with out the trailer hooked up and that is my next step. Truck built April 07
Vloney I hear what you are saying and it makes sense and I thought the same thing but every truck I have ever owned has been a 6spd and I have never had this problem. My 02 would vibrate off the line with a big load but that was the driveline angle. What is the reflash?? Is there a way to lessen the sensitivity of the pedal??
Anymore advise?? It does it with a load on or when it is cold. I set the cruise control as to take my foot out of the equation and it still "surges"???
Trying to figure out what this "reflash" is that you are talking about and how to get that done. I have regeared the truck if that is what you are talking about. I have 37" tires with 4;56 gears.
