I've seen it done on an Excursion once in a magazine. It was a stretched Limo with like 8 doors or something. Seems like a waste of money to me, especially if your truck is lifted....you'll bash those doors on things pretty easily!

Dont see how you bash them if they are going up 90 degrees.

well my truck is 7'5" tall.....there are plenty of shaded parking areas that my truck BARELY fits underneath. Seems like those doors going up like that would smack anything that was close to your roof. They are definitely an "attention getter" though!

I think you defiantly need to get a PAA MEMBER number. Don't worry, we can help you stay in the right direction.

What would be really cool is if the door would swing down and turn into a step like getting into a Lear jet.
It would go good with that 36" lift.

Is this your daily driver? I would worry about the hinges being reliable enough to take everyday abuse. Plus, I can think of a whole lot of other things I would rather buy, like a turbo, injectors, etc.

Didn't say I was going to do it but it is different. I'm kind of like everyone else that money should go to turbo, injectors..etc. Spending a lot of money on the truck. In the last 3 months bought custom badges, 2008 console and installing 10" flip down dvd player in the rear.
