agreed, I have the magnaflow four inch, SS turbo back system......went on easy, was resonably priced and is only a slight bit louder than stock......and I can't tell an diff in sound in the cab.....my vote is for the Magnaflow...

I really, really like my MBRP SS 4" and am real glad I did not use the muffler that came with it. I am constantly asked by other PSD owners why my truck sounds so good without being loud. I am around so many different owners because I'm in and out of various RV parks a lot.

^ Me too, the mbrp duels turns alot of heads when you get on it, sounds great at idle too. I had numerous people ask me what kind of exhaust was under there.

Basically YES...sound is the reason. I am most concerned about sound. I am not opposed to making this mod a reality, but just looking out for what the aftermath would be. I totally agree that EGT's need to be let out as i am quite interested in the 80 Econ on the DP Tuner as well.

I have seen quite a few of the units that everyone is referencing on ebay as I have been browsing/researching.....

Thanks for the info everyone.

The aftermarket exhausts are not loud incase that is what you are worried about. I would do the exhaust just to free up air flow and increase performance and then you don't have to worry as much on the EGTs.
And good air flow is always important......
