I'm sure this has been mentioned at some point (at least in the manual) but I have never read it... There is a way to get the barn doors to open 180 degrees. The bar that prevents the doors from over extending has a little stainless clip that holds it down on a pin. Push on the clip and lift the bar. Now the doors open a whole 180 degrees. You gain a good 6 inches of width and much more stuff can fit in i.e. the big piece of furniture I bought and had to drive 50 miles to get and didn't fit and now I have to drive back with my pickup when I could have just gotten the doors wider yadda yadda yadda. Over priced fuel @$#&@.
I used to unclip and reclip them until I realized that the hinges won't allow the door to open wide enough to damage the truck, so I have just left them unclipped for the last 5 years or so.
You just lift off the black bar connected to the door off the pin in the jamb and you are all set. I took it off the first time and it is still off. You will have to press in on the little silver clip holding the bar on the pin.
It will store itself away when you close the door.
