Well they replaced 2 injectors in buckhannon and ran for a month, then it got a FICP in hurricane ford and now on cue a month later its @ I77 ford with the miss and shutting down again, same symptoms as usual. I love this truck but I am getting fed up not knowing the real cause of my trouble.
the hpop sensor was first, it will get a miss to it but will run, then after a while it will start to lose all power and die, when you try to restart it will pop off a few times bit not run, I will let it sit a while and pull the memory fuse an relay then it will take off again but will not have much power for about a mile. Oil change and fuel filters every month, needed or not. but even when they changed the injectors or when the FICP was done, its always the same symptom
The problem you have sounds very much like the one I had. The high pressure oil pump has an o ring under it and a d ring on top that goes into the cover. Both were bad on my truck and they caused your symptoms. I bet yours is worn out as well. Good luck with it.
Mine has a engine miss, and a slight lack of power it is to a tech right now (but not at the dealer LOL). My o-ring is suspect also. There is also a TSB out on this if someone can dig it up.
well I77 ford gets a big thumbs up from me, they drove it 108 miles trying to get it to act up, and instead of keeping it for a week and throwing some parts @ it they told me the truth. They didn't even charge me the deductible or the diagnostic fee.
