I don't think the drive thru's in this country are where most of the idling is done anyway. Try all the frickin' traffic lights, now there you may have something, but drive thru's, not so much.

This coming from you kind of surprised me. Some drive thru's I've seen actually create traffic hazards. I've seen lazy fatso's sitting as much as 10 deep in the right turn lane just waiting to get into the driveway of their favorite fatburger stop. I also know for a fact that in cold weather a diesel such as ours will suck up a lot more than a gallon in 2 hours. When I'm in Buffalo in the winter time I will do a lot and I mean a lot of idleing. My fuel mileage will fall from 20 city, to 10 mpg in the winter time up there. I'm editing this because the more I thought about it, the funnier it got to me. So you're suggesting that all intersections should have 4 way green lights all of the time? May be a good idea, sure would cut down on the traffic problems after a few years, but it would back up the lines waiting to get into the cemeteries. But over the long haul it would cut down on traffic everywhere.

Mark, I think you misunderstand me a little bit. What I was saying is that the time spent in the burger joint drive thru is minuscule in comparison to the time spent at traffic lights. If you think that I am advocating no traffic lights, well I can't help you with your analytical skill set. I will attempt to find the fuel analysis when idling, and you can tell me where it is mistaken.

we need a superduty hybrid with locomotive DC traction motors and a hydrogen boost hybrid system.

OK, mabye locomotive traction motors are too big, but something similar.

Every time you hit the brakes, the electric motors are used as generators to run a hydrogen generator. When you step on the gas, the hydrogen gets burned as fuel!

Which is? I've forgotten, was it what a waste of time and money it is sitting in a drive-thru lane on your fat ****? I can see why someone with 5 kids in those damn child seats almost needing it, but it's the only excuse I can come up with other than maybe you have no legs.
