302 V8. Help!!

302 V8. Help!!

[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 09-Jul-00 AT 01:01 PM (EST)[/font][p]I have a 302 block that is in very good condition and I would like to rebuild it, the only problem is that I have no idea what year it is. The only # that I can find on the block is on the front driver side deck, it says (4E1V), the # by the starter is (D4DE-6015-AA) it also says (4A3)by the starter. can any one tell me what year this block is, and any other info you might have? I believe the block was made in '84, but I'll look up the numbers in my Ford book when I get home, sometime this weekend

Someone else posted on a similar number and indicated that the D is for the '70's which would mean your engine is a '74.
