Exclamation Several Noises

hey All. Hope all has been well.

I've got two noises that I'm looking for help on.

1) When I put the key in the ready position wiaitng for the GP light to go off, I hear a hissing noise that seems to be coming from the Fuel Filter housing on the top of the motor. If I put my finger on it I can feel it vibrating. If I put my finger on the little pipes that connect to it, I can feel them vibrating too. It doesnt leak from what I can tell. Is this normal? I do not think so.
Also, the noise ends after a few seconds but not before the vacuum pump does.

I'll get a sound byte if needed.

3) Occasionally when I start the truck as it cranks I hear kind of a chirping noise coming from what I think is the turbo. I'm going to try to get a sound byte f this too. Turbo fart maybe. It is really pronounced and continues to o it until the motor fires.

Thanks lots.

Could someone confirm for me if they have this same noise coming from their fuel filter assembly on top of the motor on their PSD?

Thanks.

Hi All,
So went to the dealer today. As the hood was up while I was getting an oil change I brought up the noise. The shop foreman happen to be there as well so goodieee.

His reply was that the noise was coming from the fuel return line. Although he did not physically straddle the motor while listening, what he heard seemed to be enough cause for him to think that. Although, he couldn't explain to me why my old '05 did NOT do this and my new one does.
perhaps it did but it wasn't has pronounced.

Either way, it's documented now.

Take care.

To my knowledge there is no return line the fuel dead ends in the heads. I think you are hearing the pump building pressure.

So I can here the fuel pump on the drivers side under the truck. After the vacuum pump on the passenger side fender stops after the first several seconds with the key on, I can here the fuel pump under the tuck and this hissing noise on top of the motor where the fuel filter resides. Once the fuel pump stops, so does the noise on top of the motor.

Also, If I press down with a good amount of force on the fuel filter on top of the motor or if I cover the filter with say like a towel, the pitch in the hissssss changes somewhat. Or at least in my mind it does...
