Ok, so don't ask - but I need to get this off and pull the dash ENTIRELY out... but how in the flippin heck do you get the huge plug with the handle out? any tricks? I've unbolted the three plugs on the other side but it doesn't look like you have to - I see three clips it looks like you need to depress to get them to unlock - but it seems impossible to get them all at a time to pull it out! ANYONE?????
*disclaimer - I AM going to do the heater core while I"m at it and know this plug removal is not necessary for this step, I"m doing some other electrical work and need the whole dash OUT!*
well, after about 4 hours swearing at the thing I finnally got it out. Ended up taking out the e-brake pedal and cutting a bunch of the foam insulation/sound deadening around the plug at the firewall and got it out - I honestly wanted to find the engineer that designed that and kick him in the teeth! well... back onto the project....
