So the other day when I was coming onto the highway I noticed that my tranny felt a lot smoother while it was running through the gears. I thought it was kinda nice until I got up to cruising speed and for some reason the torque converter hadn't locked up yet which I thought was kinda weird. It stayed unlocked for a couple minutes which I thought was even more strange. It was doing this for a while while I was running around town. Eventually I got out my handy dandy Superchips programmer and decided to check to see if she was throwing any codes and sure enough she had a P0603 error code on her. I cleared the code and everything seemed to go back to normal. So today I went to get in and rip into town and wouldn't you know it the same thing happens! (Big surprise there) I cleared the code again and she shifted fine again? Can any of you shed some much needed light on this situation? Oh BTW it has been being really hard to start lately... even in +10*c weather. I'm not sure if that's related but my guess would be that that part has more to do with GP's than the error code. i been getting the same 0603 lately. check my trans gone post, it tells whats been going on

 

603 will set when there is a chip or programmer installed. Also if the batteries have been disconnected.

TC lockup could be from a brake light issue or brake switch issue. make sure your brake lights work and your cruise is working if equipped
