I have been looking for a project and came across this one last week. a lot of the work is already done. But a lot left to do. This will be my first restoration and will be looking for expert advice as I go along. funone46/1955 F100 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

OK, that does it, I'm going to put a Ford engine in that 49 Chevy I have been tryin' to sell.
Seriously, it looks to me like someone else either died, got divorced or almost got divorced as they seem to have quit in the final stretch. I'm betting they lost their posterior and you hit the jackpot. Now, stop writing these posts and get to work.

NO divorce. I think he lost interest when he had his two kids. He is selling a 1981 vette too looks great with 45k miles on it. Not sure I hit the jackpot. I have no idea what would have been a good price for this truck. I picked it up for just under 4k

Looks like you're starting with a pretty good base (certainly more than what I and many others have started with).
However, one thing worries me - is that rust coming out of the seam along the back of the roof? If it is, then that tells me that he didn't prep the panels properly and you'll have to strip that truck to bare metal to make sure you do prep it properly -otherwise - who knows where else rust will come through.
Sorry to rain on your parade but better now than after paint.....
