On the driver's side the head, there is the ICP in the front port into the HPO rail, the middle port has the HPO supply line from the pump (no wire there), the rear port on the HPO rail has a plug or a HPX line in it if the HPX has been added.
As a last resort I sprayed starting fluid in the air intake and she started but now the truck is not burning all the fuel. As the truck warmed it got better and the truck restarted several times also.
My question is that I know there are several bad glow plugs will this keep the truck from running? And I thought that glow plugs were only for cold starting. Again thanks for all the input.
Starting fluid, very bad idea. You probably just took 20k off of your engine life. No to the glow plug question, once you have ignition the glow plugs are out of the picture. If you are going to use a starting assist use WD-40, not really a good idea either, but way better than ether. I gotta wonder if you don't have injector problems if you got it started with ether and now you say it's not burning all of the fuel. When you use ether of course the injector's are not being used, but right now with it running whatever injectors are still working right, are carrying the rest of them for you.

How many miles on the engine? Yes, the glow plugs continue to operate for up to a minute after the engine starts depending on conditions. How cold is it there? Is the hard start a new development?
This is starting to sound like compression issues to me.
