Yes I have the in-tank and pre-pump mods. Did that a few years ago. I do still have the stock fuel pump, and it's the old original with 108K miles on it now.

Well, the stock regulator is completly bypassed. I have a regulated return kit on my engine now.

And yeah I was going to try to monitor the voltage at the pump to see what was happening.

As for the cycling the key, I did that earlier today too. Everything was normal when I tried it. This problem just pops up whenever it feels like it.

Check the fuel cutoff in the passenger side kick panel? Maybe it's moved and it trying to cut you off?

Intermittent issues are a PIA to deal with. I feel for you. Could you temporarily hard wire a volt meter to your fuel pump to check for current issues next time it acts up?

That's what I was thinking of doing. I've got some wire, taps, and alligator clips Pretty sure I can rig something up.

I was just digging through the service manual.....I can't even find a reference for P1203. No diagnostic subroutines at all.

Me too. Considering the in tank mods, the only other useful bit of information I could come up with was the check valves located in the heads at the fuel line. A bad check valve can cause a loss of pressure in one of the fuel rails.

An electrical issue with a loss of fuel pressure might come from the injectors too.....maybe a buzz test?

There are all kinds of crazy codes in that manual that don't show up on the main page.....I'll keep digging.

Well, Kainers left me a message over on another forum. He had a fuel pump die on him, and the same code popped up when it happened. So I guess the code does exist, and it's in reference to the fuel pump.

I have to think that there is a loose or chaffed wire somewhere Curtis. The fuel pump voltage must be jumping because of it. I also think as a second option, there could be some loose debris in the line somewhere that may be obstructing flow.
