DTCs help

Didn't realize my CEL was on until I worked on the cluster an replaced some bulbs - CEL was burnt out! Anyway, 96EXP has rough idle at start up and a little smoother but still rough after warm up. Took it to AZ to have the codes read and got the following:

P0141 - I believe this is for HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 - circuit malfunction

P0153, P1151, P1152 - These are all HO2S Bank 2 Sensor 1 - with all these bank 2 codes would it be reasonable to assume the B2S1 HO2S is shot and should be replaced?

Not sure about the P0141 - is this telling me I have a bad wire, connection, etc. or should I just replace both sensors and see if it corrects?

Thanks for any assistance you can offer,

ErnieX

The first thing to do is make sure the O-2 sensor fuse isn't blown.

The fuse is probably under the hood in the power distribution box, at least thats where it is on my 97.

Odds are the only thing wired to this fuse are the O-2's so you need to take a look at it.

Normally P0153/slow response is a good reason to replace the sensor, but gotta wonder with all the other O-2 codes your getting.

The fuse will be listed as "hego system".

If the O2 sensor has more than 100,000 miles, you should just replace it. It may not fix the problem, but it is probably shot anyway.

Yeh, the sensors are original - so guess I'll replace them both while I'm at it. I checked the fuse and it was okay. I believe there are only two o2 sensors on this model so it shouldn't be too bad.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll post with the results after I work on it this weekend.
