I have 2003 australian f250 with a black & gold cps which has started to play up. After reading these forums i checked the australian recall which only recalled f250's until 2001, i called ford australia & was told my vin number was not affected.My question is was there a updated black & gold cps from 2001 until 2006 when the 7.3 was no longer available.Also the grey cps available for
$25 in the us is $640au aprox $600us from ford australia, i told them my disgust.

never heard of the gold cps. I know the one's we're replacing with in the states are a grey color. and $600?!?!?! thats ridiculous. I could order you one from here and send it out that way. shipping would have to be cheaper. Someone else will chime in with more though.

 

The gold is the bracket,sorry should of been clearer.

Welcome to FTE Craig. The black CPS with the gold bracket sounds like the same one that came on all of ours. Maybe you should take Will up on his offer and have him mail one to you. Of course at that price I'd suggest you get 2 or 3 of them.

 

Haha it just doesn't seem possible it'd be $600 to ship it out there. Maybe i will take a summer vacation before i go to college in the fall and take a trip to Australia. If i do i will drop one off for you haha

 

Found this grey one on Ebay, but he only ships to the U.S.
He might be persuaded for an amount quite a bit less than $600.00 US to get it to you.

I don't know how hard it is to ship something private party and get it through customs.
