I've run B20 in mine, but only during the warmer months up here in Michigan. I think the truck runs better on it. Downside is that B20 is always exactly 10cents more expensive around here than dino-fuel.

I have been using bio for around 6 months. For the last month I've been burning b100. The bio brewer just switched his station to b80. He is trying to bring the price down to be more competitive. The only thing I have had to do is change the filters more often and twice when power was down a bit. Other than the filter changes and the cleaning of the fuel system I have had no problems. The truck runs so much smoother. No more of that loud diesel clatter at idle.

Nice looking truck Snowback! I assume your buying the B-20 at BP on 10mile? I have not run any through my rig yet but been thinking about it. I read in your profile your into quads. I ride also what and where do you ride?

I live in Cedar Springs

Hey, just wondering if there were any 6.0 's out there using bio desiel , i'm using deisel secret energy, have had a few problems.
Are you running bio or WVO? Those are two different things. If you are using Diesel Secret Energy, then I'm assuming you are running WVO. That DSE stuff is garbage, and the directions they give for running WVO are completely wrong. Probably explains why you are having problems.

Aint gonna happen. I sent Ford an email asking for them to send me a note saying use of "station bought" (mainstream) bio-diesel would not effect my warranty- they refused, so not a drop is going in. So much for Ford being Green...

RobD - wow - are you stalking me? Psychic? What happened to Jimmy Hoffa? What did I have for dinner tonight? Kidding. You are exactly right - BP on 10mile in Rocktown. I do like the quads although I just dont have the time I'd like to for rides. Used to ride with the guys from Village Motor Sports. We do the Tin Cup loop once in a while when we're up for a beating from all the whoops and my folks have some acres in Paw Paw that we tear it up on in the fall when the bugs die down a bit.

I've added 4 large Warn auxillary lights to the front of my truck since I posted those pictures to my profile, but then you probably knew that already. Again, kidding.

I'd really like to see Ford be more accepting of Bio fuels in their F-series. Volkswagon ships their diesel powered vehicles with a full tank of B100.

This is straight from the 2007 diesel supplement from Ford. So I consider it good for all 6.0L engines since there isn't that many differences.

Choosing the right fuel
The engine is designed to use either low sulfur (less than 500 parts per
million) number 1–D or 2–D Diesel fuel or ultra low sulfur diesel (less
than 15 parts per million) fuel only. If your vehicle has a label which
states that ultra low sulfur diesel fuel is required, you must put
ultra low sulfur diesel fuel in your vehicle.
Number 1–D or winter blend number 2–D fuel is recommended at
temperatures below 20°F (-7°C) (see Cold weather operation in the
Driving chapter of this supplement). Diesel fuel containing no more
than 5% of biodiesel may be used.
Biodiesel fuel is a product derived
from renewable fuel sources such as vegetable oil, animal fat and cooking
oil. Since it is normal for a small amount of unburned fuel to enter the
crankcase and mix with the engine oil, the use of biodiesel requires that
the engine oil and filter be changed more often. Refer to the Exceptions
section of the Scheduled Maintenance Guide chapter for more
information.

So we can use up to 5% bio without any warranty issues according to Ford. I have found that most of the places that have Bio around me are running 11% so I try to only put in half a tank, and then fill the rest when I'm at a place that sells straight diesel. I figure that's close enough to 5%.

I have ran it in my 7.3 for 3 months now and my truck seems to run better on it as well. I went to fill up the other day at the pump and it out of service. It had been 10cents cheaper then went up as high as regular ULSD.
