transmition and transfer case fluids

I am about to repair my transfer case and i want to know whats the best fluids to put back into transmition and transfer case?

I just did mine a couple weeks ago, they both need synthetic ATF. I used Royal Purple Synchromax in mine. I don't know what was in mine before, but I don't think the RP is any different or better. Seems to shift about the same.

yeah i have heard to use a synthetic auto fluid but didnt know if that would do anyhing because what was in there. i had read on here someone sai they changed heirs and was a big difference.

i will be putting rp in my trans when i can afford to get a new trans. i could tell a difference in performance when i put their oil in my car. so i will be sticking with them. just my .02
