i'm going from a 300 inline to a 351m i my 77 f250 extended cab lwb truck. before anyone asks, i didn't go big block because the m was free and my 300spun a rod. what i'm needing to locate is the mounts on the frame that hold the engine motor mounts. through a little looking i've found out that i need the ones for a small block. my 300 frame mounts hold the engine about 2 inches to far forward and 1 inch to high to fit into the engine bay correctly. i've heard this was a seemless swap but even after moving the frame mounts back to the other set of factory holes, my z bar fo the clutch isn't even close. so if anyone one has these mounts or knows an aftermarket company to buy them from i would appreciate it, they are the only thing i have left before the motor is in.

Welcome to FTE
2WD?? The following info is for 2WDonly.
1977/79 F100/350's with 351M/400's use the same engine mount brackets (aka perches, stands) as 1973/79 F100/150's with a 302 use.
Info source: 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog.
These brackets are OBSOLETE. No Ford dealer has any / Obsolete parts sellers: Green Sales & Dennis Carpenter don't have any either.
They may be available aftermarket, but I'm not privy to that info.
thanks guys, i found the mounts at a local junkyard. they cost me 20 bucks but i figure thats pretty cheap since it was the only thing i needed for the swap. 20 bucks may have been a little high, but that brings the total swap price to 20.85 (.85 cents at rural king for new bolts and nuts). thanks
if you guys know anyone needing help with small blocks or transmissions tell them to pm me, thats about the only stuff i'm good at lol
