That is awesome! I love to see that kind of stuff. I saw a truck ( a Chevy ) around here, like late 60's, early 70's, crewcab, lifted, with some kind of diesel last summer. It looked pretty cool, even for a Chevy. I only saw it once driving thru town one night. Maybe I'll see it again this summer and get a better look at it. Great job, PowerSmoker! Can't wait to see it done
"BODY PUT ON '03 6.0 L STROKER CHASSIS W/ HEAD STUDS, FIRE RINGS, 120 HP INJECTORS, Industrial Injection Phat Shaft 62 turbo (48 psi boost) CHIP, INTAKE, EXHAUST, ATS TORQUE CONVERTER, WATER/METH INJECTION, 6" FABTECH LIFT, 37'S 22'S, IN-DASH DVD, etc, etc. Check back in a few months for crew cab conversion updates."
i like it ! ! that is one great looking project !... i wonder if i can get a 71 torino station wagon body to fit on my 04 ???
As someone else noted, the smoke was from big injectors and a non-vgt industrial injection phat shaft 62 turbo. it usually doesn't smoke like that, I did it for the photo. I've done head studs, fire rings, intake, exhaust, custom tune on an SCT X3 programmer (custom for even more power, and to run the non-vgt turbo) It's a variation of the insanity tune from elite diesel engineering, 4" downpipe, 5" straight pipe, AFE Stage II intake, Snow performance water methanol injection w/ extra high pressure pump. I was driving, but my head was by the window looking through the mirror at the smoke. since the pic, I've replaced the frame for an '06 cclb frame, replaced the cab shell for a crew cab I've streched 10" to fit the new frame length, done a suncoast extreme rebuild on the trans with upgraded shift solenoids, billet input shaft, and an ATS high stall 5 star torque converter. If you look close at the "in progress" pics you'll see I'm converting to the super duty handles. If I could photoshop that kind of stuff, I'd quit building custom trucks and go into computer design.
i meant no offense by the photo shop remark, it's just that your opening line was something like "how would guys like to see a.... " so i was wondering if you were doing a photoshop just to get feedback before doing the project is all... i'm totally digging it man can't wait to see the finished project.
