Red face first ride

got the windshield and rear windows in this morning,so I put the plates on and went up the road, only 4 miles but the panel ran great.when i got back i put the wippers on and found that I had not indexed the motor arm and the wippers park in the wrong place, then I noticed that the 5 gallons of gas did not move the gauge, also the rear lights work fine in park position but go out when head lights are turned on,found that the toyota power sterring box pitman arm seal is leaking, and one rear brake line seems to be leaking, other than that it was great.well I know what I will be doing the rest of the week,I feel sorry for those that are still working and haven got the time us retired guys have to work on our trucks. But then I never worked as hard at my job as I do now.

Any first ride that doesn't end with a tow truck is a success! Congrats!

Congrats on the first ride, feels so good, don't it. The little problems that arise during this time only fuel the need for more rides. Get it fixed and get out there and cruise!

Very nice. Congrats in the first ride. It gives me hope that my Panel may someday see the light of day. Got it in the garage last fall after many years outside. Got a title for it after 20 years. Bought an 80 ga. compressor and a new sander. So now, if the weather ever warms up, I can start the many, many projects that lie ahead for this truck. Wish I had started years ago but better late than never.
