JUst got a 96 F350 Single wheel crew cab. Looking to wake it up a bit, already has an exhaust. I am having the tranny rebuilt with an ATS triple disc converter, and a shift kit as well.
What are some of the best things I can do to build up the motor? I was thinking injectors and stacking an Edge EZ and Evolution, unless there is a better setup any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Just got rid of my Dodge and bought a Ford so I am not as familiar with the Powerstroke diesel.

Welcome to FTE and your have made your first good move ditching the Dodge!
Exhaust is a good as long as it has a new round Downpipe. It should but if it doesn't do that. Trans is good as well. Make sure you have a good cooler for it though. the stockers is less than acceptable. I like the tru-cool max 4739
If you still have the stock air box get rid of it. Its bad news!! Search 6637 or tymar and you will find info on a great intake/air filter.
For programming stay away from EDGE. Actually any tuner you have ever heard of on tv or in magazines aren't worth it. (ok they may be worth it but in my opinion they are far from the best) For a chip look at Tony wildman (totaldieselperformance.com) or Dp-Tuner.com They are top notch programmers for the PSD.
Injectors are a great step. From the stock injectors you won't see much more than a 70-80 HP gain regardless of programming and other mods. Most prefer DIYInjectors.com (cheapest and get decent injectors, build them your self or have Jim do them), Bean's Diesel performace, or Diesel performance plus (Jim at DIY build some of there injectors).
With injectors you have many different options on who from and what you get. Stage 1's are most common. Stage 2's can eat a stock tranny and turbo in short order. Some survive some don't. Over 2's and you start to need many more engine mods (internal (studs, rods, valve work) and external (turbo, HPOP, fuel system, trans).
From what I have heard the DIY injectors are not really easy but they are very doable. There are a lot of small parts that have to do together perfectly. I have heard of planty of guys do them with great results.
I reiterate TJ's first post, don't do any tuner unless it is a Tony Wildman or DP Tuner, I have both and my preference is DP, and then there is no need to stack.
Thanks for the help just ordered a chip from TDP, now just need to find a turbo, and get the trans done.
A turbo won't do you much unless you get injectors as well. If thats your plan then your good. otherwise I would wait and do injectors first then a turbo. or do them at the same time.
