I'm trying to figure out how to word this, and the best I can come up with is NIGHT and DAY!! I can't believe I put up with that Superchips for 206,900 miles. This tank of fuel I have right now is going to pretty much be a city driving mpg test and I'm going to do it in 60T, except for the first 75 miles on 80E with one 1/4 mile blast on 120. The biggest difference I've noticed so far is how much smoother everything about the entire truck is. Plus, for me a big plus is that on 60T driving around in the Carolina's rolling hills where the speed limits vary between 35 and 45 mph it's not constantly downshifting to go up a slight grade, even when I have the cruise set at 35 mph. The Superchips tune was constantly shifting back and forth with the cruise set at 45 mph.
I can't wait to experience the dp. Congrats on the install. Mark, is the 120 better than the 110 on the superchips? Does the truck feel like it has a ton of power now?

Well im not Mark but I ran a superchips for a weekend just to try it out, the 110 smokes like the dptuner 140 but power wise id say its a tad bit more than the 80e.

Sorry, can't really answer that because my Superchips was just a straight 80. But the DP 80E certainly has more power and is smoother too. But the difference in 120 is very noticeable. Have not played with the 140 other than when Jody did last Friday for a few minutes.

that's the one big thing I noticed,in 40T or 80E it takes a pretty good climb at low speeds to make it downshift
I have been running strictly 40T here in the south and don't know if it's that or 2 cyc oil or both but getting 1.5mpg better than I ever have
I know what you mean Mark. I ran the Superchip for 4 years before the DP, and the difference is unreal. A friend of mine has a 2000 with the superchip and I took him for a ride in my truck. When we got back he told the people here that my truck should not be able to do that. He was so impressed that he is working on the other mods so he can get the DP-TUNER.
But I do still have the superchip to read codes. And something else.

I ran the SuperChips for years and I can answer this one first hand. The 80E has more useable power than the 110 superchip. In my truck, the smoke is about the same in 80E. Nothing I did with the superchips even touched the 120 let alone the 140. The only thing the superchips has over DP is you can read codes with it.

Like I said above, the 80E is better than the 120.
Mark, and Barry, Im not gonna say I told you so, but....
Now for the really cool part. If its not just like you want it to be, call Jody back and say I want live tuning. While he is in the truck, you can tell him to make it shift at xx mph, or lock the TC at xx mph, add a little more fuel on the low end, make my go pedal more sensitive, have it down shift at xx mph, Drive through tune, etc... It's the only way to fly.
Oh yeah, I know you told me so and I can see live tuning in my future.
232 miles from Gold Hill, 10 miles off of I-85, so you're a dozen or more miles closer than me. After you get off of I-85 you really have to pay attention to where you're going. Exit 137 I-85 Georgia is sort of a mess early in the morning and do not buy fuel at the small truck pumps at the Petro Truck stop at exit 160.
