04 box rusting. Anyone else with the same problem?

04 box rusting. Anyone else with the same problem?
Like I Stated I have a 2004 and above the wheel wells they are rusting bubbling paint. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same thing and what you did to stop it after fixing it.

My 01 that has only seen 2 northern winters (and those were in eastern PA) only has rust in the bed mounts that are directly above the rear axle. At some point this will get bad enough I will have to fix it.

My 04' has been driven in all weather and not garaged. I wash my truck as well as the underside. There is a lip on the fenders that can hold dirt, make shure you wash out all the nooks and crannies. I'm always under my truck looking for rust. ALL rusting can be prevented before the paint starts bubbling with proper care. A wire brush, emery paper, rust coverter, paint and under coating can do miracles with a little elbow grease at stopping rust dead in its tracks.

i have a few spots below the 4x4 sticker on the left bed side of my 05. Looks like dirt was on the metal and painted over and has allowed the paint to come off. I need to find out the paint warranty...cuz it deffinately a factory defect.

i noticed it in the same spot on my '02 - dealer denied the claim because the warrantee only covers rust through

Yeah, the rust through thing is very iffy as to what they cover. Seems most time you need a gaping hole, but then they'll blame it on environmental or something.
