Cab Compatability
I have a flattened 2005 F-550. To put it bluntly, a crane fell on it. It's a couple of feet shorter than it used to be, but most of the damage is from the bottom of the glass up. We are still waiting on an insurance settlement, so nothing is concrete yet. Since things are slow here at work, I'll probably be fixing it myself. So, I've done some looking around here but haven't found the answer I want. I've seen complete cabs at salvage yards anywhere from $2-6 thousand. But what will fit? I know that the 99-07's are at least superficially similar, but are they directly swapable? I can save most of my current interior, guages, trim, dash, etc., so I just need a bare cab with doors and glass.

i cant answer your question, but holy crap...... and im not sure if all of the dash holes, mounting arears would be the same. i would look for a 05-07 instead of a 99-07. but, if the insurance will cover it, you wont have to worry. why would they not cover it anyway?

I am in the process of buying a sd std cab f250 truck hit on the lower right front with heavy lower front suspension damage. It has a very nice cab/etc. The cab could be available within 1-2 weeks. schwinnhunteratcomcastdotnet
