Oasis reports:
Door locks repaired twice
Crank sensor problems in 2001 and in 2003 Then replaced in march 08(recall)
Mirrors repaired.
Glow plug relay replaced.
A blower seal ( not sure what that was) in 02
Seat belt recall
Clock Sensor (not sure what that is) in 03
That was it. Nothing on the Trans..

Took to ford. They were very courteous and helpful. I talked with the mechanic that was going to work on it. I took him for a ride. He heard the noise but was not concerned. Everything is shifting fine and working like a new truck. It could just be a noise that could exist for ever and never be a problem. As stated in a similar response (From BRANDON post) above. The mechanic said it had a aftermarket converter and it appears to be a rebuild/replaced trans in 04. Unless it starts to act up or get worse (shuddering or a noise when locking and unlocking and not the constant noise I am referring to,. He wouldn’t worry about it. And it does get worse it will be the TC to just swap it out. But don’t worry about it at this point. May never go bad or worse worthy of a swap. Use it and enjoy it. No Charge.

It is a new truck for me. So I realize every vehicle has its little noise that may/may not be a problem. The TC just sounds different than my Dads truck .

I appreciate all the response. And any more you may have. Forums like this have baled me out of trouble tons of times. What a nice resource. I am sure you will be hearing from me.

Going to hook up tonight and take the 5th wheel for a ride tonight see how she goes.

Pulled about 100 miles this weekend. Pulled ok. But it brought up a few more questions.
About 9000 lb trailer.

When start out. It revs up to 2500 rpm and it is slow to get going. I take it to 2800 rpm then it starts to pull a little better. It shifts ok. But the Rpm seems a little high. Once the torque converter locks. It seems it then moves along a little better power wise. THink i aut to change our the TC ? I think the lock up rpm is a little high and not working the motor as it should at a lower RPM. Recomend a converter? Autozone? Or a better one at Suncoast Torque Converter as i found in other post.
Also considering putting on a tranny cooler.

Tranny cooler is definately worth it. My auto didn't run through the radiator, just had an external cooler. I added a heavy duty cooler, plus I replaced the factory with one from a V10. My tranny temps running empty do not climb over 142f. Yesterday is was in the 50s and it wouldn't get over 130f. I haven't pulled my horse trailer yet, bot don't anticipate any problems.

UPDATE. For future searches.
Got TC swapped out at a local shop. Early Last week.

Pulled pan/filter/oil.
Pump seal and bushing.
Reman TC. (not the greatest but factory setup and cheaper.) I have no mods on truck. Totally stock truck.

It now sounds like a new truck. No more rattling. But now i can here the IDLE Knock more and now that is bugging me. The TC rattle so loud that it drounded out the Idle knock. Going to do the Fuel line Mods in the near future and try to clean up that noise the best i can. The idle knock started about 1000 miles ago. The truck has 80k miles. 2001 2wd PSD. Has a Rebuilt Tranny in 2004.
