i have the svt wheels on my 4x and have used many different caps.
there is no problem switching caps around and in fact i think they look better with the 99-04 cap that had the bump outs for the bolts (common on most 16 oem sd alloys))
i think the caps that are shown w/the photos at tire rack are dually rear caps
they are by the way nice looking wheels
