I'm up in the air trying to decide if I want to drill holes in my cab to install one of these visors, plus I'm not sure if I like the look of them.
As you all know, I'm into old school and trying to keep my truck stock looking for the most part.
I've been collecting quite a few in my travels, and probably not going to use either the lighted LUND visor or the other non-lighted one. They don't have the cutouts for my running lights (no big deal - I can easily modify it to work) but I think it would be too many lights on top any way.
What's your opinion on these visors? Love em' or hate em'?
I had one on my 86. It looked pretty good. I took it off to replace the windshield, before a trip to Virginia and gained 2 MPG. So right now it's sitting in the attic of my garage.

I complained before that the truck I just bought about a year ago had one these things, and it looked good but was noisy, especially when driving over 50 mph. A poster who was a believer in these things wrote back and said if it was installed properly, it would not be noisy.
Some of these posts confirm my suspicions. The front of that thing flopping up and down while going down the highway can't be good for aerodynamics, no matter what the advertisment from Lund says. And it is tight on the truck, I don't know how you would install one incorrectly. I may take mine off and weld the holes shut.
The one on my dad's 85 f-350 looks great, but there is custem stuff all over the truck to tie it in, as far as milage goes, I don't think it matters in his case, it's a 460... 10 mpg no matter what you do...
I'm not a big fan of them because they aren't part of the original body lines of the truck. It's hard to explain, but when it comes to options you put on a truck, it needs to serve a purpose other than keeping the sun out of my eyes. I already have sun visors that came with the truck and I don't need to add an extra one on.
TBird...There's lots of us who combine the utility of a full size pickup with pretty decent gas mileage. Ford recognized that over 25 years ago by combining the 300 six with the 4OD tranny....achieving over 20 mpg highway. That's why I still drive mine today, 25 years later. I have no need for a gas hog, especially now.
Obviously I like them. I think they make the truck look sharper. I got mine used from an member here. Screwed it on and no problems, nice and sturdy, no flapping or anything, even on the freeway with a head wind. I just wish mine had the lights in it. I guess I will be getting cab lights then.
They look good on a bigger truck, but, for instance, I saw one on a short bed, single cab F-150 and it looked very tacky. But, maybe it would look better on an ext. cab or 4 door truck.
I think it depends on the truck. I like them on some of the bigger ones like F350 or F250 but they look dumb in my opinion on little trucks like rangers and stuff.
