My '85 F150 has one (came with it); I think it looks good. Doesn't seem to make noise but I think it hurts gas milage. I wont be moving it to the '86

Looks like its staying pretty consistent at 50% loving or hating it, guess its your call. I've never heard of one flapping in the wind but no doubt it hurts mileage a bit.

As for the mileage if you think 20mpg is good then you've been in a fullsize too long! I drive a 4cyl ranger every day and at around 25-30 mpg I'm still only getting half the mileage of my sprint that used to get me to work and back just fine, the sprint will be going back on the road for the summer and the truck will only be used when I've got something large to haul. Not saying that I wouldnt love to drive a fullsize every day but its just not practical. I'm not just saying that because of the fuel prices either, I know I'm preaching to the wrong choir here so I'll end this short.

I've decided to sell both.

I just found another LUND that will clear my running lights, but may or may not install that one either. I'm still undecided about installing one on my truck.

Alright,I like them on some trucks.I have one on my chevy(yeah i know a chevy) and my Ford also came with one.It really depends on the truck I think. Both the ones I got don't move at all on the trucks.
I drive up the shore just about every weekend at about 65 mph(usually with some wind in there) in the chevy and that visor doesn't shake at all.I get about 18 mpgs on the highway with the chevy and it has a V8 in it.I really like the way it looks and everything and I put my own lights in it because the old ones were wearing out.I think the guy before me put his own lights in before too.You can see the holes he cut in it but it looks good.
Some trucks they look good on and some they don't
They look alright on my trucks and I got a 1992 Chevy regular cab long box and a 1986 ford long box.The one on the ford doesn't have lights but I might install some.I'm not sure yet.I have taken them off and personally I like them better on there, but that could be because I'm use to them.

Sorry for all the ranting,I hope this helps.

I thing the best and quickest way to destroy the good looks of a vehicle is to put one on!

FWIW, I just stumbled across this thread. Mine is an 86 last time I looked Archion, second it was on the truck when I bought it in 94, along with a bunch of other custom stuff including some captain's chairs I would like to part with. With the other stuff, it doesn't look bad, and the shade it provides on the top of the windshield doesn't hurt either.

Had a friend give me his, white just like my 83.

I was neutral on the looks, but installed it anyway hoping to lower the summer interior temp (no AC). It did that so it's still on there!

Personally, i love the look of them. They do look better on some trucks than others, but when you accessorize your truck and don't put one on, it looks really naked to me lol

I think they look kinda dorky. No offense to anyone, that's what makes the world interesting. Differences in opinions. How well do they work as a sun visor though? It's getting hot down here in east TX.

It all depends on the looks of the rest of the truck whether it will look good or not, I think...........
