351W-460 swap
Plain and simple can somebody please tell me what I need to convert from 351W to a 460. It is a auto. Will the stock transfer case bolt to the new 460 trans. I believe all I have to do is change transmissions and motormounts,but if someone can help me please.It is a 86 Ford F250,C-6,4x4.38 swampers.thank you.

I would post in the 429/460 room. they would be able to give more info.
For sure the trans, motor mounts, exhaust, would have to change. I'm sure their is more.

do a search in the archives. there are lots of discussions on this.
but briefly, you will need engine mounts , radiator, exhaust, bellhousing if using a manual that has one ,or if using an automatic or integral housing manual, you will need tranny or tranny case with 460 pattern.
the best source for this swap is L+L products. they have perfected this swap. you also can try advance adapters.
