What will I have to convert to go from a 351W with a c-6 auto to a 460. It is a 86 Ford f250 4x4. I want to know if I have to change trannies. I know I have to change motor mounts but the more info the better. Please help, it will be appreciated.

 

You will have to change the tranny. The easiest thing to do would be to find a truck just like yours in a wrecking yard with a 460 in it and you will have everything you need. If you can't find a donor truck, you will have to find a tranny, rear sump oil pan, truck manifolds or headers and a bigger radiator. You might also have to change the frame perches.
