98' Explorer Rack and Pinion

My power steering in my Explorer stopped working. I tried adding fluid, but it just leaks out. I was told it looked like it was leaking from the rack and pinion and that it will be costly to fix...Any Advice?

First, you need to look at the front end and find where the leak is. Could be something loose, could be the hose etc.

If it is the rack, figure $125-150 for a new rack. Also, they will want about $100 core deposit on it.
