Mine are being done right now. I hope to pick up my truck tomorrow evening. My mechanic thought that the reason why the dealer price was so high is because they would pull the engine to do the repair. He said his guy dulled 6 bits and broke 2 extractors while repairing mine. Not to repeat what I said in other posts but they had to drill out 10 of the 20 studs and helicoil them. He drilled out the last one this morning. As for cost, I have no idea. He said they would only do it on a time & material basis which is certainly fair. They had the truck 2 weeks so they could work it in around other jobs. I expect the bill to run me $500-$1,000 for the manifold work alone. The new studs are installed with antisieze which should make this job a little easier next time (if there is a next time).
