I'm just wondering what the HP and torq ratings are for an older 85 351w, and what a newer 90 351 and 305 have for power. I'm getting tired of little power with my camper and boat. With gas I get 100 kph on flat ground no wind, if there is wind i'm down to about 70 kph. With a diesel, the same senario gives me 80-90 kph on hills and into the wind. the diesels I own have 175 hp and 315 torq. My Dad and his old 85 350 chevy never had any problems maintaining 115kph cruising up hills or into the wind. What do I do, without aftermarketing my truck to death.

For those that don't know, convert kph to mph by multiplying kph by .6 (close enough for most things). So 100 kph is 60 mph and 70 kph is 42 mph. Not good. (115 kph would be 69 mph.)
I would check some things like is the exhaust restricted, is the timing on spec, have you but taller tires on a low ratio (ie 3.08) rear end, and what's your total load.
I've put 9.00 16LT military tires on, there about a 35 inch tire, I did this to lower the rpms on the diesel 3.73 rear end. Even with the 351 gasser and 235/85r16 the problem was the same no power. The power with the diesel and the 235/85R16 made my motor scream to keep the speed up. So I put on bigger tires to lower the rpm and has the same amount of power. No restriction on the exaust either. Now my dad had stock everything on his gmc 350 and had way more power than either motors I had. Reply?

If you had no power before, putting 35's on is only going to make the problem much worse. I would change the gears 4.56 and then see what happens... I bet that will make a huge difference.
