Ya, Even with the huge injectors those would take a lot to spool. Try to find out The displacement of the Truck it's coming off, and if you can find it, find the Exhaust CFM.
Those will tell you if you can even get it going.
Sounds like a great project though!

There might be a couple running something that big, but not many. 76mm is about the biggest you see.

It did 545,551, 558 on 3 different dynos.

Impressive! was it blowing black smoke, or was the boost keeping up w/ fuel?

IFFFFFFF the turbo would even be effecient with the engine, the mounting would be completely custom made, if even possible. the mounting for those turbos IS the hot housing flange/ports. the uppies would have to be modded to adapt to something that would mount to turbo to flow the exhaust as well as handle the weight of one of those beasts. oil lines is the easiest part. you would probably have to make hood/body modifications for it to fit. you would need an intercooler for sure. IMO, it won't happen. sell it like mentioned before, if it's a CAT turbo, sometimes the core charge is more than a reman turbo to tune of a few of thousand dollars.

It was blowiing quite a bit of smoke on the dyno but at the track it cleared most of the smoke up. I'll post links up later when I get to computer (on blackberry now).

275cc bd injectors, built engine, built trans, reg return fuel system w/ dual elec pumps, 66/19cm mod h2e, TW tuning, DI race intercooler, dual hpop. Built engine just got freshened up and is in its way back into the superduty now. combo will be 550+ on fuel.

awsome vids, i love where it blows the exaust extention off. although not to be critical i dont see the point of modifying an 7000lb truck for racing a stock 5.0 stang can run high 13's stock. still very cool, but im not going to put that kind of money into my truck, mods i do are more for fuel effeciancy and better load handling

I loved those videos too! Thanks Luke. Sorry about the no pictures thing... turns out I can't get a hold of a camera for a bit but I did just go out and measure the turbo. The compressor wheel is about 75mm and the exhaust is about 92mm. I'm not quite sure what that means for my truck and was hopin you guys would have a little more knowledge on the subject.

If those numbers are the size of the inducer (part of the wheel you can see with the turbo assemblied) then that turbo is too big!

Ya those are the inducer numbers Oh well it was worth a try at least. BTW what are the upper acceptable or streetable limits on the turbo size if a guy wants to use 230cc or even 490cc injectors? The H2E works well with the 230s but what about a big turbo from Swamps or off a semi for the 490s? (not the same turbo as the one we were just talking about obviously)

I would say mid to upper 60's for the compressor and a 20cm housing? I think the h2e is a 62/19cm.

yeah and H2E even a modded H2E would be good with 230's. For the bigger fuel I have no idea.

I guess you have to ask yourself what your going to be doing with the truck. When you start talking about bigger turbo's many of them are not for all around work (towing, sled pulling, daily).

I've heard very good things about the holset h2e as an all around good turbo. It handles well in towing situations and if you want to really put your foot in it.
