rear end

hello i am new here i have 2 f100 i am wondering if any one knows if an 8.8 out of a 94 will fit my 82 if not what years will inter change it has a broken nine in it now

It will fit fine.

However, the 9" is a better rear end IMO.

Is you nine just gear broke, or is the housing broke?

If it's just the gear/bearings, horse trade that 8.8 for a rebuilt 9, and while you're at it, change your gear ratio (if practical, if needed, if applicable) to a gas saver ratio. (if you like)

No brake issues, no drive shaft issues, no spring perch issues, no shock mount issues. (if there are those issues...)
