1990 E150 rearend interchange

i am looking at a 90 E150 van with a bad rear 8.8" end

disregarding the ABS connection will a 8.8 rear from a 84 fullsize bronco bolt in to a van?

are the spring pads the same width apart?

I think the Bronco is the same as a pick up.

Will a pick up rear end have the same spacing as a van?

No, they are a little different. I was always told it won't work. I wanted to to something like you are thinking.

Vans are about 6" wider than the full size trucks, so the axle won't fit. Not sure about just swapping out the centre chunk, but that will be a major pain in the ***. It'll surely be easier to just change out the whole back end.

I had to pay $150 for a junkyard one about a month ago when my axles about fell out the housing (at least I found the source of the dreadful noise!). First junkyard wanted $300!
