WOW it's been so long since i've had working door locks I am tickled pink!did all four doors today, took me about two hours..... instead of tinfoil i just soldered a small piece of 22ga wire between the two posts where the little silver resistor was.. and let me tell you these things go up and down like they are ready to come out of the door! I sat there for 10 minnutes just watching themn go up and down!!! Thanks guys
Yep, that is the thread i read and followed, Wow these things work better than new!! I love it>... it's the little things that we dont relize we have till there gone..
Haven't got around to doing mine yet. I use my door locks once or twice a year when I haul animals to the county fair. It would have been nice to know if the key worked in my locks beforehand... It was ice cream all around for the kids for leaving the rear sliding window unlocked for once...
I bought my truck about 2 years ago and the door locks never worked. I finally got around to fixing them a couple of months back and they work awesome.
just a word of warning to you. Look into putting a thermistor in line to the actuator. When you do the fix you are removing one. It protects the motor from overheating if the button is held down too long. I fixed mine and two months later, on a road trip, my wife fell asleep on the button and killed both motors.
