I lost a quad once that was tied down on the back of a trailer. It had one of those atv sprayers that was full at the time. I hit a rough railway track and the bounce of the unit with the weight of the sprayer snapped the straps and the quad did an endo (about 2 or 3!!!). Straps too light obviously.

I think we put 2 grand of parts into the quad and bought a new sprayer. No insurance either! I think insurance was $400/year for that thing.

Thats crazy for the price of insurance!

Thats not all that bad for parts you had to put in though, these days 2 grand for atv stuff doesnt seem to go very far.

I must be from the farm haha, cause i dont think I would have special insurance for it.

I think i would just include it in my garage insurance if the garage ever burnt down type deal.

but if its stolen you're SOL...if you crash it, you're SOL... 370.00 would seem like a gift if you had a 2g repair bill...

We get replacement insurance for the stuff that is in our garage. If its stolen, we get brand new! If we crash it, well yeah a person can be out of luck. But if ya crash it, maybe ya need to pay that bill as a gentle reminder to learn how to drive the atv

$370/year x 7 years = $2960

I guess it should only be insured for the year in which it incurs damage!

Then there is the deductible as well.
Either way you lose, with and without insurance.....

if its paid for and 7 years old, thats a different story. if its brand spanking new, 10-12g's and borrowed, i think its worth the 370/year.

Usually you`ll need insurance to qualify for a loan I would think, the banks like to rest easy at all times.
