i may try the paint... i've done a pile of spray laquering on wood products and i do a great job if i may be so humble... my wifes uncle has done some auto painting as well so i might ask his expertise if he still has any...
That's a pretty awesome deal for polished Aluminum. Way to go sherm! I made the mistake of going with UPS for the glow plugs before Christmas. The shipping and brokerage fees ended up a fair bit more than the plugs. Plugs$58, shipping $26, brokerage $50. Other guys have had no problems, so you may be OK. Just no guarantees I'm afraid.
my prices were 200usd for the rims, 165usd for shipping, came to 388 cad... i'm expecting80-100 dollars extra charges as its a large item... even with that its a good deal!!
guess what... got my rims, no screwing, no duty, no extra charges. i'll post a pic of them tomorrow. they're a 5 spoke style, absolutely sweetness and not a mark on them brand new with center caps... i just hope they fit!!
thanks guys. plan to get rubber early next week, was on a quad derby today so i didn't get anything accomplished on the truck... had a ton of fun though...cancel your can-am Prep... they're a hunk of junk.
Oh wow, how come the can am is junk? I honestly think your the first guy ive heard to ever say that lol. Ive heard and seen nothing but great stuff about them, except one thing. The price.
there was 4-6 of them on the derby yesterday... i spoke to a few of the guys with them and they love them while they're running, but each of them has spent as much time in the shop as riding. lots of little electrical problems, trans issues... not things i'd expect from such a big contender.
Things I wouldnt expect either, but good to know. I can actually see electrical issues, because, well, look at all the electronics on a quad of every brand these days, its ridiculous! And I know they have more then most.
How did ya do in the derby? I bet it was a hell of alot of fun!
