If you dont mind me asking, how much was your "smoking" deal??
Cooper cobras look great but they do wear pretty fast. If you go with goodyears you ahve a few options but they are getting up there in price. There is the gt2's from goodyear that Im gonna try and get cause of the white lettering, and if I dont get them Im going with the bf's. Ive heard too many good things about those bf's
Yeah thats not too damn bad at all. If ya dont mind, I would like to know how much duty and shipping they charge ya. I have always been a little hesitant to get stuff from the states just because of that.
Just one word of warning about getting things from the US is don't use UPS because you can end up with all kinds of extra charges. I usually use the USPS and most time I don't have to pay duty, sometimes GST & PST. Also get the sender to put old vehicle parts or antique or gift on the bill of lading and that speeds things up coming through customs.
I have heard from a few sources that ups can sometimes get alot more pricey then the item itself! Ive just heard that about smaller stuff though. Hopefully they provide the lube for ya if they do get nasty!
I myself chose a budget type build. I think its neat to see what you can build on the least amount of money. It sure takes alot damn longer though, Ive been looking for an angine for my own project for a couple months now!
likely won't... i've got a couple of feelers out, and an aquiantence that has done a bit of bodywork and he's willing to help me cut and patch panels... i may get a pro paint job, but i'm unsure as of yet...
I dunno man, if your gonna do the patch panels and do the body work, why not go the extra step and try the paint. The prep work is supposed to be alot more precise work then the actual paint.
