Where do you all........

Where do you all buy your Motorcraft parts? Like air filters, oil filters, oil and other mototcraft parts.

I know Wal-mart has some of this stuff, and Auto Zone has some. But it is frustrating that I go to one store, and they have one item, when I need three or so. So I have to drive to another store, and it may or may not thave the item. I do try calling Auto Zone, ahead, but calling Wal-Mart is like trying to get honey out of a beehive naked with out getting stung.

I was wondering if you all had a better supplier. I would be will to order stuff, I just need a good place.

Oh I have tried dealers. Yes they have the stuff, but are way over priced.

I wouldn't ever buy that stuff from walmart including tires or anything automotive related for that matter. Though it may have the exact same name on it trust me it is not the same. They will leave ingredeance out so they can sell it cheaper.

I get my oil and oil filters at Walmart because they are cheap.I picked up a fuel filter at the local Ford dealer the other day for my first fuel filter change on my 06.They charged me list price $27 for a dang fuel filter. Next time around I'll either find a cheaper source or I won't use a Motorcraft fuel filter.

I buy most of my Motorcraft products at Autozone. I also use their Autozone card that provides discounts for purchases of 20.00 or more, and thier prices are competitive.

I used to go to Wally-World, but after seeing that special on their questionable business practices I usually go to AutoZone. I also like their rewards program.

Give me an example of what ingredients are left out of any product, and how do you know? (This ought to be good!)

I'd like to see you try and back that up.

They buy products form Name brand companys in bulk and sell a lot of it, so they can sell it cheaper than most people and still make a profit (even though it might be small).

Wal mart might only make .50 cents off a oil filter, where as Shop A makes $2.00 off a oil filter.
Wal Mare might sell 4 or 5 of the same oil filter every day where as Shop A might only sell one of the same oil filters a day.

I don't like the overall quality of wal marts products, b/c they try to get some of the cheapest stuff possible (made in china), to make the most profit possible while giving costomers a fair price.

I usually get my Mobil 1 oil and Motorcraft filters at Wal-Mart, unless they are out of what I need, then I'll run down the road to Advance or AutoZone. Don't know how anybody can say Wal-Mart's supply of brand name products is of lesser quality than that bought elseware. It's the exact same product, factory packaged and sealed.

It ain't gonna happen. If you buy a filter at walmart, and one from a dealer, set them side by side, and diasect them apart. They are the same. I am not an idiot. I check out stuff before I buy.

This guy probably hates walmart and auto zone, or at least he has an intrest in bad mouthing them.

My original post, simply asked where you buy Motorcraft parts? This is the question still at hand.

1. Walmart
2. Closest Auto Store

Walmart almost always has the Motorcraft stuff in stock...ocassionally they won't have the oil filter. They've always had the oil, fuel filter when I was looking. Besides, I go to Walmart often enough (thanks Wife) that if it isn't there 1 trip, it'll be there another time

I either go through my local Ford dealer parts dept. since I get everything @ cost (or less for high qty.) there. Though, this is usually dependent on if they get a Big shipment of my maint. parts in stock.

OR...

Keep track of our sponsors specials on thier websites (Direct Ford Parts usually advertises qty related specials on thier "home-page".

Hard proven facts in paper, no I have none. I wouldnt expect wamart to state anything about it either. My knowledge comes from 3 college (automotive) instructors. All life long technitions and all come from generations of technitions. Wether yall belive me or not dont realy care. Just trying to help some people out.

Sure you're not mixing anything up with Fram filters.....?

Fram filters have a smaller media inside than other filters (even Wix filters have more).

A Motorcraft filter is a motorcraft filter.

Are you saying the Motorcraft synthetic blend at wal mart isn't as good as the synthetic blend at the Ford dealer?
