Except the test mules bumper is way out of alignment, holes in the drivers side fencer, holes in the grill. Things like that you won't find on the trucks sitting at the dealer lots. When they were testing the 09 F150's they were skinned with 07 sheet metal, but the parts did not line up very well just like they don't line up very well on that super duty. They stick the new motor and whatever else in the current truck then just slap whatever parts they have laying around on it to get it road drivable, thats about all thats different with the trucks.

How do they know what's under the hood?!? I don;t see any pics of the engine or any other telltale sign. So what? So they got an ugly hood on it...

...I didn't think the SD could actually get uglier. Looks like the pulled it off.

Am I the only person left wondering why truck engines have to have retarded sounding nicknames names to accompany the old fashioned way of identifying them by displacement.

Scorpion
Triton
Vortec
Endurance
Magnum
Powerstroke
Duramax
I-Force
Superphalluserectucator

it's enough to make my pancreas hurt just thinking about it

The only engines that I know of that say displacement in the name of the motor is the Vortec series. Vortec 4200, 4300, 5700 etc.. All the rest just say Triton 5.4, Magnum 5.9. Dodge uses the magnum and the HEMI names for obvious reasons, as they carry a lot of history

Except for the test model they put together in 20mins, I actually really like the big bold look of the 08 SD

5.4 L is 5400 cc, so Triton 5.4 is putting the displacement in the name

I thought the badges just set TRITON V8.

Most engines I've seen will say like 5.7L HEMI V8, or 5.4 Triton V8, the displacement isn't actualy part of the name, unlike the Vortec series.
